Our Mission
Gather Flora’s mission is to leverage technology to create new markets and opportunity for local farms while adding traceability, beauty, freshness, and sustainability to the global floriculture supply chain.
In the Press
“The most inspiring, locally grown flowers that make it to flower shops today are produced by small and medium-sized, mission-driven, dedicated growers and brought to us by wildly dedicated local florists. However, the time, energy, and multiple rounds of back-and-forth communication aren’t always feasible for busy, hard-working florists…Ultimately, I found that I could best serve the community by merging flowers and software and the result is Gather Flora.”
“The flower industry is like music, an artisanal industry. It's filled with people who love it for the thing that it is. These industries are always ripe for disruption. What was cool about this opportunity is that this founder loves flowers, and she's worked on flower farms. She's worked with a large number of people in the California flower industry. She was someone that I felt I could trust even before even knowing the startup idea. She happens to be a software engineer who I've worked with before..”

“We are always so delighted when we get to visit Hannah and the team at the SF Flower Mart and incorporate their local blooms into our work.”

“By building [Gather Flora] and making this available to small, almost grassroots-y business, I hope that collectively we’re building something that can transform the global flower industry into that thriving, equitable, sustainable sector for every step in the value chain.”
Hannah Brannan Founder, CEO / CTO
In 2018, driven by a passion for botanicals and a desire to create meaningful change, Hannah Brannan left the stability of a Software Engineering career to found Gather Flora. Her mission: to build a more transparent, sustainable, and locally driven floriculture industry.
Hannah’s love for seasonal blooms traces back to childhood, tending gardens alongside her grandmother, Becky “Mimi” Jenkins, in San Marcos, Texas. Mimi’s gardens were more than just landscapes—they were places of magic, beauty, and sanctuary. Years later, Hannah rediscovered that same sense of wonder when she encountered the exquisite heirloom and specialty flowers grown by Northern California farmers. Learning that these stunning blooms were the exception in an industry where over 80% of cut flowers are imported, she became captivated by the potential for positive change through localized sourcing.
Gather Flora, champions a new era for the flower industry—one built on traceability, corporate social responsibility, supply chain alignment, and sustainability. We are building for a world with thriving farms, flourishing businesses, breathtaking flowers, and a deep commitment to environmental impact.
To bring this vision to life, Hannah leads an exceptional team alongside a dedicated community of farmers and florists. Together, they are redefining the flower industry—and invite you to be part of the movement.
